We also sell a wide range of glider chairs, wooden toys and quality mattresses. Please note: Mattresses: Available in four sizes, our mattresses are designed to offer the best fit, avoiding gaps that are too large and therefore helping to ensure that any risk of your baby getting an arm or a leg trapped are minimised. The recommended gap between mattress and cot should be no more than 4 centimetres. We recommend that mattresses are turned regularly; this will help to maintain the shape. It is best to buy a new mattress for each new baby. This will ensure that your baby is sleeping in the cleanest and most comfortable environment. Cot Top Changers: Cot top changers are designed to fit snugly and safely onto the top of a cot or cot bed. An ideal space saving idea, the changers have raised sides for safety and a padded, wipe clean mat with vinyl surface. Never leave a child unattended on a cot top changer. Reduce the risk of cot death: Thankfully, cot death is very rare. A great deal of progress has been made to help in identifying some of the factors that may significantly reduce risk to your baby. By taking a few simple precautions you will give yourself greater peace of mind. Always lay your baby on his or her back. The recommended sleeping position for babies is ‘feet to foot’ so that he cannot shuffle down underneath the covers. Feet should always be placed at the foot of the cot with the covers placed no higher than the chest. Don’t let your baby become too warm or too cold. They cannot regulate their body temperature. The recommended temperature for a room in which baby is sleeping is around 65f (18c). Ensure that your baby does not sleep near a very sunny window or any type of radiator or heater.
